Days!
41
days until my book is released. I seriously never imagined I would be to this
point. At the start of 2020, I figured I would have it ready to edit in
December and be released sometime near mid-year 2021. Now, it is almost here!
This
very morning I sent in the final few edits to my team, and it is now 100% in their
hands to finish up. Even though the final steps are theirs, I still need to do
a good deal. All marketing falls on to me and anyone I can have help. The
drawback of being an indie author is all marketing is our responsibility. Then
I also have to plan release day stuff.
I
know I will have to lean heavily on my fellow indie author friends for some of
this last stuff. But, I have a good support group, and they seem willing to
help out anyone who asks. I will be asking a good deal.
Right
now, I am a crazy mixture of excitement and totally freaking out. As I told
some people last night, it’s a crazy feeling knowing something that you put so
much into is finally going to be available for anyone to buy.
I
would reference the Doors song, “This is the End,” but it isn’t. It is the beginning
of a new part of my life.
Be
warned, all of you who have been here before, I will be asking a good many
questions.
