Work hard. Play harder.

I’m a player - both on and off the field.

Avery and I have been friends since we were kids.

In a moment of weakness, she winds up being the latest addition in my playbook and everything falls apart – our friendship and my life.

I’m spiraling out of control, and with my football career on the line, there is only one person who can save me.

Even though she hates me, Avery agrees to pretend to be my girlfriend to help repair my reputation. We’ve already blurred the lines of our friendship once, and playing this game isn’t making it any easier.

Will my fear take control, or will Avery be the one to finally get me to quit playing the field?

Book Review: Scorched

Scorched (The Broken Bow Book 5)
by Ashley A Quinn

Talk about starting the book off with a bang, literally. From the start, you are pulled into the story, and it doesn’t let up.

The book is well written and paces along nicely. It keeps the reader engaged with both the romantic side of the story and the suspense. The plot unfolds, giving you hints at what is coming in the end, but watch for a big twist.

Maggie and Declan start off with some smoldering heat between them, which builds over the story until they realize they need to move. Maggie had thrown herself into her career and hadn’t previously made time for any serious relationship. Delcan fights the stigma of a bad family reputation. He is worried about how that will impact Maggie if he decides to further their relationship. Too bad for him, but Maggie is going to push him. Maggie is a strong lady with just enough “prissiness” to stand out from the crowd.

If you haven’t read other books in the Broken Bow series, it won’t matter, jump in and enjoy. It will give you a reason to read them all and catch up.
