Writing Wednesday: Anticipation

Writing Wednesday

Anticipation

This is going to be a short post today. However, it is something that is on my mind.

Oh, this is killing me, well, not really, but it is starting to build anticipation. As January comes to a close, I am getting that much closer to getting my debut coming out 55 Days!!!!!. Proofreading is scheduled to be wrapped up any day now. Then formatting begins, as does work on the final cover.

Then starts all the final push to getting published. I still have work to do on my side of things. And I can tell by how people talk about these last parts they are essential.

Keywords and your book blurb is the final hooks to get people to find and become interested in your book. So far, I have 3 keywords, I feel pretty good about just 4 more to wrap that part out. The blurb is another story. But, I’ll get it.

While all of this is going on, I have characters telling me what to write. I have “Across the Sea” needs work so I can look at betas and editing. Then, of course, start on cover ar for it. But, it is all part of a larger goal, so I push. It does get hard at times.

It is good knowing I have a decent support group that will point me in the right direction for some of the final steps along the way.

As Forest Gump said, “That’s about all I have to say about that.”

See short! J
