Writing Wednesday: Drawing a Blank

Writing Wednesday

Blank

How many people would actually admit to this and then write about it? I have drawn a blank for today. No, seriously, I did, really. I sat down twice to write something profound about writing, and I have nothing, zero, zip, nada. That happens a good deal to people. They might have a fantastic idea in their head, but it goes flat when they start to write it down.

The bad thing is I have what could be a great book idea in my head, but I started to get it on paper, and it really stinks. But I am getting it written down, so maybe it can be fixed after a while.

Heck, even writing this, I have drawn a blank. Maybe I should just leave it here for today and move along? Yeah, things do suck at times being a writer.

I have sent my first book back for its proofread on a good note, and my cover is coming along. Should have things ready to publish in March. Yes, that is much later than my original plan. Still, I had difficulty deciding how to take some of the edits and back and forth with the editor on them. But, moving ahead, that is a good thing. I am also digging into book two and getting it ready for editing. That one, I might try to have out during the summer.

Heck, maybe I should have written about my plans for my books instead of about drawing a blank.
