I
have mentioned it before, but writing reviews is such a pain, and not letting
out spoilers. But, the opening of the book offers up a major WTF moment. Dex
Cross, the poor guy, gets a significant downer, well, a couple, but he moves on
considerably. He is a heck of a guy but still running into trouble along the
way, but that helps in the long run.
Lanie
Heart has also had a rough go of things. She, with prodding, makes a move to
renew herself. She takes a job as a nanny in Waverly Clay, NC, away from her
lifelong home.
One
character feels she is not worth loving, and the other has lost faith in love. Yes,
there are ups and downs. If you are not careful, there will be s a good deal of
emotions for you too. I admit it. They got me also.
